Book Review: Cascade by Lisa T. Bergren

Mom touched my underdress—a gown made six hundred years before—and her eyes widened as she rubbed the raw silk between thumb and forefinger. She turned and touched Lia’s gown. “Where did you get these clothes?”
Gabi knows she’s left her heart in the fourteenth century and she persuades Lia to help her to return, even though they know doing so will risk their very lives. When they arrive, weeks have passed and all of Siena longs to celebrate the heroines who turned the tide in the battle against Florence—while the Florentines will go to great lengths to see them dead. But Marcello patiently awaits, and Gabi must decide if she’s willing to leave her family behind for good in order to give her heart to him forever.

Our Thoughts...
This is probably the greatest action-filled book you will find that
not only includes the lovable, courageous characters that won your
heart in Waterfall, but the battles, love, and faith continues in this epic sequel!
Gabriella returns with Lia once again and persuades their doubtful mother to travel back to the very real people in 1343 who long to celebrate the victory over Paratore's Castello and congratulate their heroes, whom they have nicknamed the "She Wolfs". But it has been three whole months since they have disappeared from Siena and many changes have been made in that time of peace. And while they celebrate and are invited to dazzling balls and greeting Siena's people, the Beterrini's and Forelli's are once again in the midst of danger. But that doesn't mean that they aren't prepared! A new mysterious character appears and seems so intriguing with their political ties and takes major risks because of a great secret that has never been revealed before...

A Warning!!! There is a huge cliffhanger at the end, be ready with Torrent, the third book to find out what happens to the clan next!
Read Cascade for November Reading Month, you will not regret it!
